How to delete your Canva account

Close the Canva account you no longer use in two steps. We checked each one against Canva's own help page, so you don't have to dig through it.

Before you start

  • Download designs you need to keep before deleting the account.
  • Cancel a Canva Pro, Teams, or Business plan first to avoid continued charges.
  • If you own a Creator team, Canva says its support team may need to deactivate your public details and library content.

Steps

  1. From your account settings, find Account & security → Account Actions → Delete account.
  2. Follow Canva's current prompts to confirm with your password or an emailed code.
Open Canva's deletion page

What happens after

  • Canva says the deletion request takes effect after 14 days; signing back in during that period cancels it.
  • Your designs, folders, templates, uploads, and teams or apps you created will be permanently deleted, and the account cannot be recovered afterward.
  • Owners of a Creator team may need Canva's Creators support team to deactivate their public details and library content.

Can't sign in?

Contact Canva's support from the email address on the account and ask for it to be closed. Expect them to check that the account is yours first.
