How to delete your Figma account

Close the Figma account you no longer use in one step. We checked each one against Figma's own help page, so you don't have to dig through it.

Before you start

  • If the account belongs to an organization, ask an organization admin to remove you first.
  • Cancel a paid Professional subscription before deletion; account deletion does not cancel it automatically.
  • Export designs and invoices you need, and transfer ownership of teams, folders, or files where appropriate.

Steps

  1. In the file browser, open your account menu, choose Settings, then Account. Scroll to Delete account and follow Figma's prompts.
Open Figma's deletion page

What happens after

  • Figma says account deletion is permanent and the account cannot be recovered.
  • Deleting the account does not automatically cancel subscriptions. A paid Professional plan must be cancelled first.
  • Team and file ownership may affect collaborators. Figma describes how ownership is reassigned or a one-member team is deleted.

Can't sign in?

Contact Figma's support from the email address on the account and ask for it to be closed. Expect them to check that the account is yours first.
