Every app you tried and every shop you bought from once still keeps your name, your email, maybe your card. Quitlist finds the old accounts you forgot in your email and helps you delete the ones you don't need, so your details live in fewer places.
A quick test
Your inbox can. Every welcome email, receipt and password reset is a note that says you were here.
Why bother
You stopped using it. It never stopped holding your details.
How it works
See exactly what Quitlist asks for before you connect anything. The free preview looks back 12 months, up to 2,000 matching messages.
Signing in alone gives no access to your email.

Each service shows the emails that point to it, so you can tell a real account from a mailing list at a glance. Keep what you use. Close the rest.
Nothing is preselected. Keep is one click to undo.
No digging through help pages. Quitlist takes you to the company's own deletion page with the steps spelled out, or drafts the request for you to send. Then it keeps track until each one is settled.
Requests go from your own email, when you choose.
Open your avatar, choose Settings, then find Delete account at the bottom of General.
Privacy
Quitlist only needs to know who emailed you, about what, and when. It never requests the messages themselves or their attachments.
To build your list, Quitlist processes five headers of account-related messages on its servers: sender, recipient, subject, date, and your provider's check on whether the sender was genuine. Read-only mail access allows more than that; the app asks for only these fields, and skips Spam and Trash. Read the privacy policy.
Deletion links come from the JustDeleteMe community directory and are marked unverified. The most common services get a guide we checked by hand against the company's own help pages, with the date we last checked it.

No card, no trial clock. You see every service the preview finds, not a count with the names held back.
That's about 13 years of signups. The free preview reads the most recent one.

Search your inbox for welcome, verification, receipt and password-reset emails, then check your password manager and any sign-in-with-Google or Apple connections. Quitlist does the inbox part for you and turns it into one list. You can also add a password manager export to catch accounts your email missed.
No, and be wary of anything that says it will. Quitlist sees accounts that emailed this mailbox, as long as that email still exists. Signups made with another address, a phone number, or a sign-in button from another company won't show up. A missing result doesn't mean there's no account.
It gets you to the finish line without acting behind your back. It opens the company's official deletion page with instructions, or drafts a request you send from your own email. Then it keeps track of each case.
Most companies will close an account when you ask from the address it's registered to. Quitlist drafts that request with your registration address filled in; you add the company's privacy contact and send it from your own email. Some services still ask you to sign in or prove who you are first.
Not the messages themselves. For account-related emails it asks for the sender, recipient, subject and date, plus your provider's check on whether the sender was genuine. It never requests message bodies or attachments.
The 12-month preview is free and shows every result by name. A full-history scan is on the way; it isn't for sale yet.
Gmail today. Outlook, Yahoo and iCloud are planned, so your other inboxes can follow.
From Settings you can disconnect your email, export your data, delete it, or delete your account. None of it costs anything or needs an email to support.
Connect your email, see what the last 12 months turn up, and close whatever you're done with.
