How to delete your Notion account

Close the Notion account you no longer use in three steps. We checked each one against Notion's own help page, so you don't have to dig through it.

Before you start

  • Sign in to the exact account you intend to close.
  • Export any pages you need to keep and review which workspaces would be deleted for other members.
  • Be ready to enter the account email in Notion's final confirmation.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → your name in the signed-in Notion account.
  2. Choose Delete my account and review the workspaces Notion says will be affected.
  3. Enter the account email in Notion's confirmation window if you choose to proceed.
Open Notion's deletion page

What happens after

  • Notion describes account deletion as permanent. Export content you need first.
  • Private workspaces where you are the only member and shared workspaces where you are the only admin may be deleted for everyone.
  • You will lose access to workspaces that are deleted or that you leave.

Can't sign in?

Contact Notion's support from the email address on the account and ask for it to be closed. Expect them to check that the account is yours first.
